Lancelot of the Lake (Sir Lancelot, Lancelot of the Lake or Lancelot du Lac) is one of the knights of the Round Table, belonging to the set of Arthurian legends. The fairy Viviana saved him, when he was very young, from dying in a fire in which his family died. He then took him to the bottom of a lake, where he instructed and prepared him until he was an adult and could head towards his destiny, the search for the Grail.
The beautiful Queen Guinevere, wife of King Arthur, had been kidnapped by the evil Méléagant and it was Lancelot the hero who would rescue her to return her to the Sovereign, but Guinevere's love will remain imprisoned forever in the heart of her champion and Lancelot, for his part, will henceforth forget his goal in life, immersed in the Queen's passion.
Among the replicas of Sir Lancelot Du Lac's Swords we can highlight the one that has bronze finishes and the one that is manufactured with a sheath included. Both are high quality pieces manufactured by Marto and Art Gladius, firms located in Toledo (Spain).
His loving relationship with the Queen made him compete with all the knights of the Round Table, who wanted to save the tarnished honor of his lord Arthur. Lancelot, after defeating them one by one, retired to the monastery to do penance.
Before Lancelot dies, the Lady of the Lake comes to his aid and with her he submerges forever under the waters.
