The buhurt was a form of medieval tournament with blunt weapons. The Falchion Buhurt sword is currently designed for sporting medieval combat tournaments, particularly the HMB, IMCF and Battle of Nations. The Buhurt is a sports combat in which two teams of up to 21 people face each other, the team that remains standing wins. The fighters are eliminated when they fall to the ground or support themselves with a third point of support: such as the hand, the shield, etc.
In this sporting context, the sword's extra thick blade can unbalance the weapon, but makes it very useful and effective as a mace to stun opponents through armor, due to its great hitting force.
