Description

One-handed swords were among the most widely used weapons during the Middle Ages due to their balance between mobility and resistance. The One-Hand Practice Sword in 9260 Steel, Kingston Arms belongs to the Tourney series and is designed for historical recreation, offering a solid construction with features intended for training and exhibition fights.

Its 76.2 cm blade is forged from 9260 spring steel and hardened to 50 HRC, incorporating a pronounced central groove that reduces weight and improves balance. The rounded edges and blunted tip with a thickness of approximately 2 mm promote safer use during practice. With a total length of 94 cm and an approximate weight of 1.4 kg, it maintains comfortable proportions for precise movements.

The wooden grip covered in leather and wrapped with cord provides a firm grip thanks to its oval and slightly cylindrical section, allowing enough space for gloves or protection. The guard features the King-Peen system, with a steel pin that passes through the tang to enhance the stability of the whole. It comes with a wooden sheath covered in leather to properly store and transport the sword.

This functional sword corresponds to Category B. An ideal choice for those seeking authenticity and safety in their training, recreation, historical fencing (HEMA) and performing arts activities. These swords are designed with tempered and balanced carbon steel blades to withstand the rigors of combat and practice. Unlike Category A swords, Category B swords feature a blunt edge and are not sharpened, making them ideal for safe and controlled use.

Swords in this category are versatile and adapt to a wide variety of activities. Whether you're participating in historical fencing training, reenacting epic battles, or performing in a theatrical production, these swords offer you reliable performance and historical authenticity. Their high-quality design and construction guarantee proper balance and resistance that makes them durable over time.

It is important to note that we recommend using Category B Swords with swords of the same category and characteristics and preferably from the same manufacturer. It is not advisable to use them with Category A swords, as they could suffer damage to their blades and reduce their useful life. With these swords, you can immerse yourself in the history and excitement of fighting in a safe and authentic way
